Double Bass
YAH TZUR (THE LORD OF MY ROCK), for double bass, was written in 1974 as a commission from the Israel Music Institute for its Educational Music Series. And is intended mainly for the first position. The work is based on a song for the Sabbath eve sung by the Jews of Corfu. The song is taken from the collection of Jewish folk tunes of Prof. Haim Alexander. The work is edited by the double bass player David Danesi.
